The nearest international airport is Zürich Airport, and from there, you can take a direct train to Lucerne, which takes around an hour.
The train station at Zürich Airport is conveniently located in the airport itself, right below the ticketing center and the nonstop ride takes about 1hr and 15 minutes.

This is a square by the river that has a bunch of shopping option – both high-end and more affordable.
The farmers market at the train station:
Sells fresh local produce and handmade crafts. Don’t forget to sample some Swiss chocolate and cheese while you’re out shopping!

Lion Monument:
A sculpture that honors Swiss soldiers who died during the French Revolution.
Chapel Bridge:
